Charles Hoskinson, one of the founders of the Ethereum network and current president of IOHK (Input Output Hong Kong), has recently announced that a new version of Cardano will be released soon. The Cardano project was designed by IOHK in 2015 and is set to be completed by 2020. Hoskinson made his eager audience excited in a tweet sent out on August 13, and announced the soon-to-happen release of the version 1.6 of this project. In this tweet, Hoskinson also asked his audience to show their support for the new version of Daedalus by sending screen shots and commenting. Daedalus is another project that is being done under the auspices of IOHK. According to explanations written in the website of the company IOHK, Cardano is a Blockchain platform that implements the proof of stake algorithm of Ouroboros. The resultant natural cryptocurrency from Cardano is ADA. This cryptocurrency is only practical based on the programming language of Haskell. The smart move by Hoskinson and his partners was that they designed a specific wallet for this cryptocurrency which is in fact called Daedalus and is based on the programming language of Haskell. Also, Daedalus has the possibility for the users to manage their other wallets with it.
Hoskinson is also involved in another project. According to a report by Cointelegraph from the Consensus conference 2019, Hoskinson is set to collaborate in a project with the security platform Polymath. This project is called Polymesh. Hoskinson has explained regarding this collaboration that after collaborating in Ethereum and Cardano, which are both very popular currently, he likes to work on a more exciting security project. Polymesh is in fact a security Blockchain to protect great financial resources.
Hoskinson also has had some opinions about Libra. Much like many other giant companies in the world, Facebook has also turned to cryptocurrencies. Facebook is set to collaborate with a company with the same name; i.e. Libra, in developing Libra. Hoskinson has always had a critical look at Libra, and recently in an interview in late June, pointed to this matter again and said that he thinks Libra will not reach the international success Facebook assumes. Hoskinson thinks that the main reason for this belief is the way Facebook looks at its audience. He believes that Facebook makes people accept an economic monopoly without knowing them enough and the only thing it can offer them is less costs in exchange for the service, while the people of that area did not need this at all. Hoskinson further added that to be successful in the crypto world, healthy communications are very important, but Facebook refuses to accept these communications; therefore, it will either fail or will eventually accept communications, although the presidency of project Libra is not up to Facebook and it is only a partner in this project.
